Being influenced by multiple styles of music growing up Such as Coal Chamber, American Head Charge, The Wall Flowers, Candiria, Eagle Eye Cherry, The Ocean, Strapping Young Lad, and Machine Head. At the age of 16, I found myself as the frontman of the black metal band "The Black Aura". Since parting ways at the age of 18 due to musical differences, I have been off and on with music, and all of its variations.
I was introduced to Laurentian Tides by my good friends Lee Laplow (former vocalist) and Steven Smith (former rhythm guitarist) back when the band was Kartezhun. A few months after the introduction, Lee had decided to leave the band and pursue a different path, but not before recommending me as a replacement.
Although I had my sights on moving to Chicago for school, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work with this particular group. Given 2 weeks to get my own ideas down and ready, I put everything aside, in order to focus on writing. Much to my own surprise…I was welcomed into the band during the audition.
Since then, I have been challenging myself lyrically, conceptually, stylistically, and in showmanship.
